Our Vision

BBPU envisions a thriving, empowered, and connected Black community in Beaverton and greater Washington County. We strive to create spaces where Black families, students, and leaders can flourish, embrace their identity, and build a future rooted in cultural pride, educational excellence, and civic engagement.  Our vision is to build the ecosystem of resources needed for a connected community to feel safe, loved and seen; a place where Black people of any age want to live and stay.

Black & Green Fellowship

Our Mission

BBPU exists to uplift, advocate for, and support Black residents in Portland West Metro region through culturally specific community building, leadership development, and systemic change efforts. We provide the resources, opportunities, and networks necessary to ensure Black residents feel safe, valued, and empowered to lead.

Support BBPU

As a volunteer-led organization, the Beaverton Black People's Union relies heavily on the gracious support of volunteers and donors.
